Champagne Collard-Milesi is born of the union of two families steeped in Champagne tradition:
Matthias Collard, heir to the Philipponnat lineage, winegrowers in Aÿ since the 1500s, and Carole Milesi, from the Méa-Milesi family, independent winemakers located in Louvois, a Grand Cru village situated in the Montagne de Reims, for five generations.
Champagne Collard-Milesi is a young brand built on solid foundations. It produces Blanc de Blancs Champagnes, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Premier and Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs vineyards.
racines
Pierre Philipponnat, the great-grandfather of Matthias, acquired the Le Clos Corbier estate from Albert Valet upon his retirement in the early 20th century, to develop his very own brand: Champagne Philipponnat.
After the brand was sold in the 1980s, the estate solely became a family home. It wasn't until 2010 that it was used a something more, becoming a guesthouse and wine tourism destination, under the stewardship of Sylvie and Dominique Collard, grandson of Pierre Philipponnat.
Matthias, the youngest son of Sylvie and Dominique, returned to the family estate in 2014 after fives years working in the sales division at Champagne Pommery, driven by a clear ambition: to bring a Champagne House back to life in this estate filled with history and tradition.
Le Clos Corbier
Our family home, located in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, is the living and beating heart of our project.
Built in the 1850s, Le Clos Corbier was once the property of Albert Valet, a renowned wine merchant, who used the domain to create his very own Champagne brand.
The Collard-Milesi brand embodies the union of two families and the complimentarity of their visions.
We offer mineral cuvées through Chardonnay blends, sourced from the prestigious Côte des Blancs vineyards.
In time, we will also incorporate grapes from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ into our blends, uniting the outstanding terroirs of the Côte des Blancs & Vallée de la Marne vineyards, by combining Chardonnay and Pinto Noir grapes.
True to his roots, Matthias is committed to developing the House while preserving its independence and deep family ties.
Reusing the estate’s original Champagne production facilities lies at the heart of the project, ensuring full control over the entire process, from vine to bottle.
Champagne Collard-Milesi opens a new chapter in the Champagne region's history, aspiring to craft a wine of terroir that is modern, sincere and deeply human.
